#CocoFigue by #ComptoirSudPacifique is like a #fragrant #tropical #hammock that stretches between a #coconut and #fig
tree. And while the air is ponderous with vanilla milk, these two trees
act like the perfect newlyweds: they compliment each other, knowing
they are in paradise.
The opening of the perfume is heavily
tropical, like a very refined version of a suntan lotion that gets
better as the skin is warmed by the sun.
Coconut, vanilla and
ripened fig dance in the happy tune blasting off the tropical getaway
speakers. As the sun gets high on the horizon, the fig and the vanilla
put on their bathing suits and take a dip in the coconut milk.
The
transitioning stage of the composition is all about milk. My nose
detects a creme brulee like milkiness: sweet, inviting, anchoring the
coconut in the safe sweet harbor of crowd pleasing scents.
And when
the milk glass is halfway full, the refined prevalent artistic ingenuity
of Comptoir Sud Pacifique is brought out to daylight.
No more
suntan lotion sweetness, hello green and woody fig reign. Rain washed
green leaves travelling in a coconut milk river. Milky, woody and
earthy, this scent conjures image of summer in its finest form.
While the initial sweetness may lead you up to the deceitful juvenile
perfume path, the dry down will convince you that the original earthy
and woody fig path is genuinely worthy of your affection.
Delicious,
funky and totally carefree. Needs to be approached with an open mind
and patience until the dry down. No judgement must be passed before this
stage.
