Gilded Lily by Ineke Perfumes

he heart of perfume is made of the note of Goldband Lily of Japan. This species of lily (yama yuri in Japanese) was brought to Europe (England) from Japan. Ineke ordered it for her garden in San Francisco to learn the fragrance.

The top notes include pineapple, rhubarb, grapefruit and elemi. There is Goldband lily in the heart, and woody notes of patchouli, oakmoss and labdanum in the base. — at Rosina Perfumery

For Canadian-born perfumer, Ineke Rühland, her eponymous fragrance line symbolizes her natural joie de vivre for perfume, design, art and literature. Indeed, her fragrances live up to that spirit. The Ineke fragrance line is ...refreshing and imaginative, provoking your senses with its mixed-media stories. Cleverly packaged with a keen attention to detail, each eau de parfum introduces its own scented vignette through photos, art, snippets of verse, and the fragrance itself. Using lyrical titles that evoke stories of romance, nature, chemistry and courage, Ineke fragrances are rooted in her perfumery education and apprenticeship in France.

In her fragrance studio in San Francisco, Ineke creates inventive formulations partly inspired by the rare scented botanicals she grows in her garden. Using only the best ingredients, Ineke delivers luxurious eaux de parfums containing notes such as lilac, freesia, mimosa, peony, magnolia and spring rain.

As a professional nose, Ineke is one of a relatively small number of classically trained perfumers in the world. A graduate of the elite ISIPCA in Versailles, France (the only university level perfumery school), Ineke paired her study of traditional technique with sojourns to Grasse, the capstone city for perfumery in Provence, followed by three years of apprenticeship at a fragrance house in Paris.

Active ingredients
Sea buckthorn oil
Extracted from the berry of the Sea buckthorn tree - the only fruit with three vitamins: A, C (30 times more concentrated than in an orange) and E (higher than in wheat or soya). It possesses high regenerating and restructuring qualities and slows skin ageing. It is used frequently in the treatment of burns in European and Asian hospitals.
Avocado oil
Rich in vitamins A, D and E, this oil is acknowledged for its moisturizing* and regenerating properties. It is particularly recommended for dry and devitalized skin. As an excellent anti-wrinkle oil, it also prevents stretch marks.
Evening primrose oil
Extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose this oil is very rich in essential fatty acids and contains in particular, indispensable gamma-linoleic acid. It has always been used internally, but also externally for its regenerating properties. Particularly recommended for devitalized, wrinkled or tired skin
Camelia oil
Used for centuries by Japanese women, it possesses genuine nourishing and softening virtues and remoisturizes* dry spots.
Prickly pear oil
From a plant of the cactus family, with a high concentration of anti-oxidizing actives. It prevents ageing of the tissues.
Argan oil
Argan nuts come from the Argan tree which grows on the Moroccan coast. The oil softens and revitalizes the skin thanks to its regenerating virtues.
