The bouquet of flowers is here, yet this is not a bright or a floral-leaning fragrance at all: general feeling is ambery, very smooth and warm, ideal for rainy Autumn times I’ve experienced for the past two days, together with my leopard-pattern heels and red retro-matte lipstick to chase the gray away.
In 1922, Queen Mary of Roumania, "Europe's most beautiful queen", became the official image of "Mon Boudoir". After her death, in 1938, Houbigant decided to withdraw the perfume from the market out of respect for the Queen.
