It is the most important time of the day in the purest of English traditions. In a warm, inviting tearoom dressed in mahogany, the light is dim and fine china is set over an immaculate white table cloth.

The clock’s ticking seems to have stopped at half past three. A delicate scent of timelessness floats in the air one could almost sense the touch of oud wood and violets that have been left behind by past guests who would share their tales of exotic travel while taking tea in this very room. A delicate steam, rich of lilies-of-the-valley and raspberries rises from the teapot that sits in the middle of the table. As the complexity of the tea continues to unveil itself as it steeps, an unexpected twist comes from something like leather or an exquisite amber. Finally, the nobility of the blend is proven when the flavours of wild musk, together with sweet vanilla, set the tempo as time slowly begins to tick once again.

Gozo & God of fire goes for a trip

Kalavryta in Greece is a small mountainous town on the northern side of Peloponnese. Surrounded by beautiful landscape, Kalavryta Greece is a popular winter destination in Greece due to the ski center on the slopes of Mount Helmos. A drive around there will bring you many interesting sights, including the Monastery of Mega Spileo, carved against the slopes of a mountain, the historical Monastery of Agia Lavra where the Greek Revolution of 1821 was first declared and the miraculous Cave of the Lakes. The most important spot in the history of Kalavryta was in December 1943, when the Nazi troops burnt down the village and killed all male inhabitants. A Holocaust Monument is set on a hill above the village to commemorate this tragedy.

Launched in 2010, Gilded Lily is a “chypre” fragrance, a category of fragrances that I learned to love in the 1990s when I was a young woman in Paris working for a fragrance supply house. It’s a mossy/earthy/woody structure that has a classic elegance. Gilded Lily also features the scent of the Goldband Lily of Japan (lilium auratum), discovered by Victorian plant hunters over a century ago, and a favorite in our own garden today.

Brecourt and their exquisite history..

In 1812, the Maison BRUNO COURT was created in Grasse, which we hold to be the historical reference of exclusive perfumery. The originality of his creations and his attraction to personalization attracted the European and Russian aristocracy, who traveled thousands of kilometers to have their perfumes made to measure. Her demand for quality led her to want to master all the stages of making a perfume, from growing and picking the fields of flowers that lined her workshop, where her assistants played fragrant music, to her organ of perfumes where new scores were composed every day.

We convinced Emilie BOUGE, 4th generation of perfumers in Grasse, whose grandparents owned the BRUNO COURT house, to lend her support to our project to develop modern exclusive perfumery on this path of personalization.

In 2009, the BRECOURT brand was created. Over time, Emilie BOUGE has succeeded in refining the formulation technique we were looking for, and we have built our own workshops in Grasse to control the manufacturing phases and allow us to achieve our objective of excellence.
