Noces de Nerola
Inspiration
Anne Marie de la Trémoille, French diplomat, married Roman prince Flavio ORSINI on July 5th, 1659; she was given the title of Princess of NEROLA. The following year, she had the idea of perfuming her gloves and bath by creating an essence of bitter orange leaves that adorned her vast estate in southern Italy. Given the delicacy of the flowers which could not withstand the distillation process, she imagined a new method of extraction by steam distillation. This enchanting perfume, to which aphrodisiac properties were attributed, had a resounding success, so much so that it was named NEROLI as a tribute to its creator."
We wanted to pay tribute to the originality of this visionary woman who created a note in her image, blending elegance, refinement, and sensuality. We imagined the fragrance of the NEROLA wedding.
